Bishopstrow House & Spa is under the new ownership of the Kaleidoscope Collection and seasoned hoteliers Ian and Christa Taylor (below). We look forward to taking the property forward into an exciting new era.
In a nutshell, we are a quintessential country retreat with locally sourced food, superior service and a popular spa, located in the heart of the Wiltshire Countryside.
The amenities we offer rival the best in the region, from our two AA rosette-awarded restaurant serving a locally sourced, seasonal menu to our halcyon spa featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a Rasul mud therapy room, Elemis treatments, a sauna, steam room and so much more.
Each of our 32 bedrooms has a unique character, with modern touches reflecting a contemporary influence on the countryside charm. From your room you can enjoy views of our gardens that lead to the river or the tennis courts, all within our 30 acres of stunning land.
Our grounds feature exquisite historic buildings of historic interest like the Doric Temple with Doric rotunda, erected in 1770, and the Neolithic Long Barrow (a prehistoric mound of earth and stones built over a grave or group of graves) called King’s Barrow, which was excavated in the early 19thCentury. We look forward to welcoming you to investigate for yourself!
Family (and dog!) Friendly
Bishopstrow is the perfect place to settle down for the night after a jam packed day exploring the family friendly attractions nearby, from roaring lions at Longleat Safari Park to a fun cultural visit to Stonehenge or the picturesque Stourhead Gardens. We have plenty to keep the kids busy, with traditional family board games in the lounge, wellie boots to borrow for a stroll along the River Wylye and heated indoor or outdoor swimming pools if you want to take a dip. We are also happy to welcome your furry family members in our dog friendly rooms.
