Book Direct rate also includes use of the spa facilities, subject to availability (treatments are charged as taken).

All rates include full English and continental breakfast and VAT.



Extra-person at £50.00 to include full English and continental breakfast with use of the spa facilities when sharing a room with two adults.

Extra Child Fee (3 – 16 years) at £35.00 when sharing a room with two adults to include full English and continental breakfast with use of the spa facilities during stated times. (This may vary on special packages like Easter and Christmas etc. Please see individual packages for Child rates relevant to the individual offers)

Crib Charge – £0.00 (subject to availability)


Arrival & Departure

Check-out time of 11:00hrs. Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by this time.

Check-in time of 15:00hrs.



Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa operates a non-smoking and non-vaping policy throughout the hotel, including all bedrooms and public areas. An outdoor smoking area is provided.

If guests are found smoking in the room or the hotel is unable to reuse the room due to the smoke in the room, there will be a fee applicable for damages.



With 27 acres of grounds to explore and spacious dog-friendly rooms, Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa is the perfect location to spend time away with your four-legged friend. We do kindly ask that dogs are well behaved and trained and those bringing dogs are considerate and respectful to other guests in the hotel.

Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement only and subject to availability of a dog-friendly room. There will be a charge of £30 per night excluding food. Please inform us at the time of booking so that we can offer you a suitable room.

Dogs are not permitted at any time in the spa or the restaurant with the exception of the outside terrace.

We understand that accidents can happen, but the hotel reserves the right to charge for damage (for repair or replacement as required). Deep cleaning will also be charged as required.

We would also request that dog owners clear up after their dogs; doggy waste bags can be obtained from Reception and there are dedicated dog waste bins throughout the grounds.

Guide dogs are permitted throughout the hotel free of charge.


Swimming Pool

Both our indoor pool and outdoor pool at Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa are heated.

The indoor pool is open all year round from 7am until 9pm. The outdoor pool opening times vary dependent on the time of year, please contact the hotel for specific timings.

Children (0-16 years) are welcome in the indoor pool from 8am-10am and 3:30pm-5:30pm and the outdoor pool all day every day (subject to opening times). Please note children must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst using the spa facilities.



Menus are served daily from 12 pm until 9 pm. From 9 pm a room service menu is available.


Group Policy
10 Rooms or more are considered a group. For group reservations contact the hotel by calling us on 01985 804680.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for Accommodation up to 5 rooms

Booking must be cancelled by 3 pm, Three days prior to arrival to avoid fees. Any cancellation made within 72 hours of arrival will incur a full charge for the duration of the stay. (Exceptions may apply e.g. for bookings made over Easter, Christmas and New Year, prepayment is required and all payments are non-refundable or transferable).

No Shows will be treated as a cancellation and will be charged in full for the stay.

We therefore strongly recommend that guests take out insurance to cover against unforeseen circumstances.

All cancellations must be confirmed via email or in writing.

Cancellation Policy for Accommodation up to 10 rooms

Booking must be cancelled by 3 pm, Seven days prior to arrival to avoid fees. Any cancellation made within 7 days of arrival will incur a full charge for the duration of the stay. (Exceptions may apply e.g. for bookings made over Easter, Christmas and New Year, prepayment is required and all payments are non-refundable or transferable)

All cancellations must me confirmed via email or in writing.

Spa Cancellation

Cancellations or changes to a treatment must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the appointment.

Note all advertised treatment times include a period of consultation.

To change or cancel a spa day package or residential package, a notice period of at least 48 hours is required.

For group bookings of 5 or more spa day guests, we require at least 7 days’ notice to change or cancel a booking.

Non-arrivals and bookings that are cancelled with less than the required notice will incur a full cancellation fee. These will be charged in full to the credit card provided at the time of booking and are non-refundable or transferable.


Payment Policy

All bookings must be guaranteed by a credit card.

At Check-in a pre-authorisation will be taken from the Credit card or Debit card that will be used for payment on departure.  A pre-authorisation is not a payment.  Final payment for the duration of your stay and any extras will be taken on departure.



As a Grade II listed building we are limited as to the improvements that we can make to help accessibility to the hotel, in particular the hotel is set over several stories and we do not have a lift. We would be happy to discuss your requirements on request and make provisions where feasible. If you have hearing difficulties, let us know so that special arrangements can be made in the event of a fire alarm.



We offer free parking at the hotel. Please note that parking is at your own risk.


Hotel Events

Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa may host weddings, events and parties. Please contact the Hotel directly in advance of your stay for further information.


Limitation of Liability

Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the Hotel Proprietor’s Act 1956 (a copy of the notice under such Acts is displayed in the reception of the Hotel) or any other applicable law.



The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible.
